I come from a background of farming, and am married with two children and four grandchildren. My journey as a celebrant began in 2001 while I was working at Waikato Hospital. This was a natural progression as I became involved within patients, families and staff members lives being invited by them to be share in both joyous and difficult times, this is always a privilege and an honour.
I fully appreciate the importance and incredible gift that comes from being able to create ritual, ceremony and sharing stories. As a celebrant I am alongside those who wish to honour and acknowledge their loved ones and this can be explored with or without tradition, in whatever way feels right for the situation. As part of the team I am there to support and guide you, creating ceremony is a very powerful way of acknowledging our heritage, our grief and our love.
