Our Community Involvement

Pink Ribbon Breakfast

In May 2019, Grinter's Funeral Home hosted a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a great turnout on the day, and together we were able to raise $725. From all of us at Grinter's Funeral Home, we would like to say a big thank you to all who attended. It was great to see so many people supporting a great cause, and being involved in the Cambridge community.

Lest We Forget

Grinter's Funeral Home recently sponsored a commemorative ANZAC Day event, remembering those who served from Cambridge. Below you'll find feedback on the event from the Cambridge Community Board:

“On behalf of the ANZAC and Armistice Remembrance Organising Committee I would like to thank you for your contribution to ANZAC Day. The Committee very much appreciates your sponsorship of the lightshow the evening before. The lightshow event has been held for about five years now, and your contribution towards the 2019 event helped to portray the local service men and women who served from Cambridge. The video from the event is now being held at the Cambridge Museum for future reference. Feedback received from participants included that the show was very moving and thought provoking. Thank you once again for your generous contribution.”

Making Community Events Possible

Grinter's recently sponsored a tournament at Cambridge Bowling Club. Read the response from the club below, reflecting on a successful day.

"Thank you for sponsoring our recent Triples Tournament. The day was gloriously fine, and the green filled with happy bowlers from far afield (Tokoroa, Hamilton & Te Awamutu as well as Cambridge). Eighteen teams involving 54 bowlers participated, and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had. Without the support of businesses in the town, our club would be unable to attract the same interest in our tournaments, and it is, there, greatly appreciated."

Bringing a Smile back to Isaac

Here at Grinter's, we think being part of the community is to help out in times of need.

When we heard of Isaac loosing his scooter, it made sense to help him out with a replacement - he was chuffed!
